Allen Construction is a third-generation Pittsburgh masonry and construction company built on family knowledge, hard work, and personal responsibility. Our story began with Cody Allen’s grandfather, a concrete mason who learned the craft through real field experience and passed those skills to his son. He taught more than how to place and finish concrete—he taught patience, preparation, pride in the details, and the importance of leaving behind work that a family can depend on.

FROM HONEST WORK TO A FAMILY COMPANY

Cody’s father carried those lessons into his own life. While serving his community through janitorial work, he continued building, learning, and taking on construction projects until he established a company of his own. That step transformed a family trade into a family business. The same standards passed down from father to son became the foundation of how the company treated customers, approached difficult jobs, and stood behind completed work.

THE THIRD GENERATION MOVES IT FORWARD

Today, Cody Allen carries that tradition into its third generation. Under his leadership, Allen Construction has gone through major growth and a complete brand evolution while remaining hands-on at the jobsite. The company has expanded beyond individual concrete projects into complete outdoor construction—retaining walls, concrete flatwork and steps, excavation, foundation waterproofing, drainage systems, grading, and finished site restoration. Stronger systems, clearer communication, modern equipment, and professional branding have changed how the company operates, but the family standard behind the work has never changed.

Allen Construction is not a temporary name or a crew passing through Pittsburgh. We are part of this community, and every project becomes part of a reputation our family has built across three generations.
